ZF Sachs Turkey located in Gebze/Kocaeli, producing shock absorbers for vehicles, is looking for aTemporary Purchasing Engineer for Purchasing Department (for 6 – 8 months).

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field,
• Experience in a professional businesses, preferably in purchasing area,
• Fluent in both spoken and written English,
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.),
• Analytical abilities with a high attention to detail,
• Solid organizational and time/project management skills,
• SAP experience is preferred,
• Living or willing to live in Asian side of İstanbul or Kocaeli (Gebze & İzmit).

Job Description:

• Responsible for purchasing and the procurement of supplies and services for respective locations,
• Prepare RFQs, examine prices, evaluate all quotes that are received, monitor the availability of items, compare specifications and review alternatives to determine most desirable suppliers using tools such Decision Matrix, EXCEL-calculation, SAP, or Supply On,
• Maintain Info Records and Source List in SAP,
• Issue, maintain and store purchase orders for supplies and services for all departments to support ongoing plant operations,
• Work closely with involved departments (specification, scope of work, approvals, lead times, etc.),
• Communicate with suppliers concerning RFQ’s, POs, deliveries and other issues may occur,
• Track and report purchasing volume of indirect materials and other KPIs for respective locations as needed,
• Communicate with managers & employees of operating department at respective locations and other sites in Turkey, SCP Buyers within the Turkey organization, and global Commodity Managers in assigned commodities.
