Job description

- Contribute to YEL Business Plan targets according defined objectives in the respective Financial Year

- Support all processes, standards and specifications of logistics services in the area of returnable and non returnable packaging engineering

- Identify, evaluate & deploy Supply Chain Optimization Projects with the focus on packaging improvement

- Deploy established packaging standards and know-how to relevant key internal contacts in CSCs, BUs and affiliates

- Develop and implement strategies & actions to achieve the department and personal goals

- Condense and present complex information to key personnel in meaningful reports and presentations

- Acts as main contact person from central logistics to support packaging engineering projects within Yazaki Europe

- Business Unit support for new projects, business transfers and customized packaging solutions

- Conception, evaluation and implementation of Yazaki packaging concepts in close cooperation with packaging manufacturers and purchasing

- Create and maintain a packaging database

- Support implementation of packaging management in SAP

- Close interdisciplinary cooperation with project logistics, purchasing, IT, production and project management

- Manage and coordinate all supply chain improvement initiatives in close collaboration with key internal contacts

- Ensure that packaging manual is upto date , be in alignment with YNCA

- Support plants to use supplier labels - eliminate relabelling process in plants with the support of direct purchasing by ensuring that the suppliers use requested label formats

- Monitor the Management of Supplier non-conformances via YEL's GQRS-C System and Suppliers non-conformance Escalation procedures

- Supports regular executive performance reviews with assigned Key Suppliers together with purchasing

- Encourage and Challenge continuously  packaging suppliers to submit supply chain optimization proposals to improve service level and to achieve overall cost reduction of products and services purchased and as a result improve YEL's competitiveness 

- Monitor, track and report progress / achievements

- Prepare presentations & contribute to road map and Ops review meetings

- Present key projects to management

Qualifications

- Robust experience in supply chain management activities in the automotive industry, especially in the area of international transports, 3 PL warehousing services and packaging enginerering

- Demonstrate high personal motivation and ability to develop practical or innovative alternative approaches to meet objectives.

- High analytical skills and willing to achieve results in a team environment.

- Self motivated, independent, focussed on results, enthusiastic, committed and must be a good listener and observer

- Master or bachelor degree in industrial engineering combined with background in Logistics or equivalent qualification 

- 2-3 years experience in similar positions

- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 level is required)

- Advance knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

- For male candidates, military service should be completed
