Wyser is the international company within GI Group in charge of searching for and selecting specialized middle and senior management. We are looking for a "Commercial Analyst" to one of our clients in energy industry.   

QUALIFICATIONS 

Commercial Analyst Job Responsibilities;

 • Monitoring and analysing monthly and yearly operating results against budget (Asset values, MtM hedge values, fixed and variable costs, CAPEX's, operational drivers, Hedge and FX gain-loss, department and plant profitabilities, etc.)

 • Reporting on financial performance with deviation analysis for the business and senior management providing proper steering measures 

 • Coordination of Mid Term Planning, Budget and projections in collaboration with the Optimization team, Plants and Finance 

 • Challenging deviations critically and developing innovative ideas in order to continuously improve the business 

 • Responsible for the operational business’ cost transparency and robustness, supporting cost management decisions 

 • Ensuring inclusive commercial management between operational and financial objectives, acting as a financial sparring partner 

 • Using financial know-how to give positive impulses to the business units with ad-hoc analysis 

 • Collaborating in multifunctional projects representing Commercial Management 

 • Preparing management presentations, e.g. for the quarterly performance, biweekly asset committees, last estimates and budget process. 

 • Establishing an innovative Planning & Controlling organisation which will use digitalisation to make processes as efficient as possible 

 Technical Requirements 

 • University degree in Economics, Finance or Engineering 

• Advanced experience using Excel and PowerPoint; VBA (highly preferred but not required – will be required to learn) 

• Strong analytical skillset 

 • Profound finance knowledge incl. relevant KPI steering (e.g. EBIT, CAPEX, OPEX, CFO, CFI) as well as good understanding of front office performance measurement 

 • Familiar with reporting in line with IFRS and Turkish GAAP (VUK) 

• High IT-affinity, especially with regards to data warehouse solutions 

 • Strong communication skills and assertiveness in English, both spoken and written 

General Qualifications 

 • Experience at Corporate Finance / Transaction Advisory departments at Big Four is highly preferred 

 • Ability to handle large amounts of data & data-mine to draw strategic insights in different formats, with a sense of urgency, and succinctly represent it in PowerPoint Ability to work in an engaging and fast-paced, deadline driven environment 

 • Willingness to consistently and aggressively challenge the way reporting & analysis has been done in the past to uncover new & improved ways of working 

 • Capable of juggling multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds with a positive attitude 

 • Strong detail orientation with proven ability to work quickly and deliver accurate and actionable information 

 • Agility – must thrive in a fluid and changing environment 

 • Ability to develop strong relationship with finance, plants and optimization teams 

 • Own initiative, ability to co-operate, high personal responsibility
