QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Viking Services is a fully integrated service company serving the oil, natural gas and geothermal sectors to become the most reliable service company in the Turkish, Middle East, North African and European markets. Viking Services seeks a full-time employee for the System Administrator position.

Position Responsibilities

• The System Administrator's role is to manage servers and databases and tune on-premises computer software systems and connections to ensure high availability and security of supported business applications.
• This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system delivery and maintenance consistent with company objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage all operating systems and end user software.
• Manage communications (email, IM, etc.) and connectivity solutions including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications.
• Ensure the integrity and security of corporate data across mainframes, multiple databases, and during data transfer according to business needs and industry best practices for privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights and storage allocations
• Perform network and security audits.
• Perform system backups and restores.
• Predict, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet and workstations.

Position Requirements:

• Engineering degree in Computer Science and/or Electronics with 5-10 years of equivalent work experience in similar positions.
• Windows Server, Exchange, SFB, SQL etc. Certifications in Microsoft products.
• Certificates in VMWare and backup solutions (Veeam backup).
• Fluency in spoken and written English is a must.
• Working technical knowledge of Servers, Virtual solutions, PC and platform operating systems.
• Extensive application support experience with Microsoft products.
• Working technical knowledge of current system software, protocols and standards, including antivirus software and antispam systems.
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in data management.
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws GDPR (KVKK)
