                                                            Release Manager 

About the Viessmann R&D team;  

Viessmann R&D team is a critical group in the design, project management, systems, standards and regulations of the projects/products. We work closely with our production and quality teams to provide the highest levels of availability and service success. Being active and collaborative is a requirement and you will be working in a high speed, cross functional team. Our ideal new team member is highly energetic and motivated.

Your contribution to the team includes;

Release Manager’s main mission is to plan, execute and control the product or module releases of the product owner/module owner. For this purpose, Release Manager sets up the master backlog, consisting of the product backlog of the Product Owner/Module Owner, the specifications of the PEP and specifics of the project. She/he will be responsible for the transparency in the implementation as well as the understanding of the product/module vision in the teams and the communication to the Product Owner/Module Owner. The role also will be responsible for the project implementation according to Quality,Cost,Delivery.Besides:

  • Planning, execution and control of projects (according to Product Engineering Process) of the defined product and/or product variants with technical leadership of cross-functional project teams 

  • Resource-optimized project organization: finding and implementing the most efficient team structure and configuration for project realization

  • Synchronized team backlogs and optimal team control

  • Break down requirements prioritised by the PO/MO into work packages in projects (and ensure technical understanding if necessary) and schedule the processing so that the product and/or release meets the requirements and is carried out by a scrum master if necessary.

  • Ensuring and channelling the transfer of information, e.g. by means of defect management, training of multipliers (technology), status reports (to PO/MO)


What you’ll need to be successful?

  • Bachelor degree in engineering field.

  • Min.5 years experience

  • Agile project management

  • Technical leadership of teams

  • Product management

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas and solutions. 

  • Innovative, collaborative, pro-active & cross functional team player
