Retail HR Manager

Our multinational business partner which operates in retail sector is looking for a Retail HR Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail sector
• Strong background in HR Analytics & Organizational Development, Recruitment & Selection, Learning and Development
• Excellent command of English both verbal and written
• Good communication skills – understanding how to manage internal customer relations
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory factors including relevant employment laws is an asset
• Masters degree is an asset 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Liaise regularly with Heads of Departments to identify and plan future recruitment needs and work collaboratively with hiring managers/staff to ensure an up to date job description and person specification is maintained for each vacancy
• Work closely with HR BP’s to ensure efficiency of recruitment processes and practices, in line Retail HR Strategy
• Attract high caliber talent at field/retail level, build network and talent pipeline
• Influence, coach and guide management through a variety of employment law and employee relations matters, advising on best practice resolutions to resolve all performance and other employee relations issues
• Manage the employee sickness & absence policy and process, working in conjunction with management to ensure all cases are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner
• Track data to develop an understanding of re-occurring employee relations issues within regions and specific store locations and create best practices to run an effective organization
• Lead performance development /merit/bonus processes for Retail sales employees ensuring training, communication on process/timelines and assisting with all phases of the year end process to ensure timely and accurate completion
• Support the management team in the identification, and development of high potential candidates within the team
• Partner with management to manage succession planning & career-pathing of field/retail talent. Work in partnership with the management to identify, develop and implement soft skill trainings and other development programs
• Create, facilitate and/or implement HR related trainings for retail
• Work with management to create induction plans for new employees
• Ensuring the HR strategies and projects align with the overall business strategy and plans
• Analyze, report and communicate key HR metrics to HRD and management
• Use data, reporting and analysis to understand strengths and areas of opportunity for people practices within the region, developing strategic and tactical programs/action plans as necessary. (i.e. employee engagement, reward and recognition, etc.)
• Coordinate with appropriate global HR service delivery (HR Shared Service) to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across the delivery of the services
