QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

 

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related. (Master Degree of Engineering is a plus. PhD is preferable).
  • 5+ years of experience in Aviation, Defense or Automotive industries.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling software (especially CATIA v5) including Enovia PLM.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, Boeing/Airbus specifications is a plus.
  • Experience in understanding a variety of manufacturing processes including composites forming, CNC machining, stampings, sheet metal forming, and thermoforming.
  • Understanding of material properties including metals, general plastics, and composites.
  • Able to design complex integrated kinematic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of metals, composites and plastics.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Communicate efficiently in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills are required.
  • Ability to travel for mentoring and/or customer interface, sometimes at short notice.
  • May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required.


İŞ TANIMI

  • Executing best practice engineering concepts, including material and process selections.
  • Research the new advanced materials and support on definition of the material characterization.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize components and assemblies which strongly adhere to the cost, the time and the quality in desired level.
  • Research the anthropometric and ergonomic features for seat platforms and secure the implementation in the design.
  • Creating parts breakdown (Bill of Material – BOM) and technical documentation.
  • Benchmark studies and prepare documentation.
  • Prepare the Test and Validation Programs and support the activities related with T&V.
  • Support the development of the TSI Engineering Design Rules and Methods.
  • Understand carefully the market needs in strong collaboration with marketing department and provide and support the new innovative ideas.
  • Apply best engineering principles in the development of new architecture of the seat platforms to ensure specification, regulation, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Research and verify the design criteria and needs per customer as well as based upon regulatory and integrator or OEM requirements.
  • Coordinate with groups such as manufacturing, planning, purchasing, program management, certification, stress engineering, and electrical engineering to ensure program completion according to safety standards, regulations, and schedule.
  • Create 3D models of individual components and assemblies in CATIA v5. Create and or check 2D drawings of parts, components, sub-assemblies and assemblies as required in CATIA v5.
