About The Team
You'll be part of a fast-paced autonomous team where priorities change, and sometimes change fast. We like to keep an informal attitude within the team itself, but it doesn't distract us from delivering, instead we consider it a core-strength.
The team is flexible in a way that we can handle multiple projects at the same time. Our team tries to hold a high standard for the code and features we make. We value all input from the team regarding these features.
Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Working with the team to update, maintain and make required changes on the back-end of the on of the biggest and well-known game across Europe.
Help to identify external partners and their qualities,
Code reviews, Problem solution
Estimation of delivery, features, sprint goals, Reviews
Work with external Studio developers - best practices, quality, requirements etc.
Because of the structure and mindset, we need someone who can work independently and take responsibility.
You understand the value of commenting your code for others that might use it
Flexible when having to change projects
Someone who knows where and how they can best contribute and who is happy to take responsibility
The experience & skills we expect you to have:
5+ years of OO design
3+ years of OO design and programming in Java
Good English communication skills when working with multinational team
Able to write clean and maintainable code
Following areas are considered as plusses:
experience in concurrent programming via Java
experience in NIO programming via Java
Frameworks included Spring, Hibernate, actors, Netty.
Performance tuning of Java applications including but not limited to GC profiling, fixing memory leaks, JVM tuning.
Solving deadlocks and performance issues in Java applications.
Database access profiling and optimisation.
Writing code with Java 8 API, in particular CompletableFuture.
Writing database schemas for MySQL database.
