An Assistant Stores Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of a company's stores or warehouse. They assist in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the stores department.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or stores environment
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office suite
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently

The Assistant Stores Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Assisting in managing and organizing inventory within the stores or warehouse
• Coordinating with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and transactions
• Assisting in conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies
• Supporting the Stores Coordinator in implementing and maintaining efficient stores procedures
• Assisting in the supervision of stores personnel and providing training as needed
• Ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations within the stores or warehouse
• Assisting in the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
• Performing other related duties as assigned
