EHS Engineer

Socotab Yaprak Tütün is one of the leading oriental leaf Tobacco merchants in the world, supplying quality, compliant oriental tobacco to the world’s top cigarette manufacturers and is looking for an ambitious and motivated candidate to join Operations team as EHS Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from related departments of engineering.
• B Class Safety Specialist Certificate from Ministry of Labour
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in multinational manufacturing environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environment management
• Experience in EHS training, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Management Systems
• Excellent communication skills with strong team-work and team-leading ability
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• “Environmental Expert Certificate” is preferred

 Job Description

• Ensuring local EHS legislation and company EHS standard are fully implemented at the plant.
• Conducting and/or coordinating required EHS trainings in order to increase safety culture and environmental awareness.
• Carrying out EHS inspections throughout the plant.
• Coordinating and verifying improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Reporting all accidents, near misses and making root cause analysis.
• Reporting accidents to management, group EHS team and related local authorities.
• Preparing, Performing and Reporting Legal Health and Safety Board meetings.
• Lead operations in scope of environmental management
• Performing risk assessments and documentation in OHSAS 18001
