  • Must have a full working knowledge of all the hotel’s technical systems.
  • Operation of the hotel’s BMS system.
  • Assist in planning and implementing procedures, systems and controls to ensure an efficient engineering department.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an energy conservation program.
  • Ensure that all meter readings of utilities are taken on a daily basis and reviewed for consumption.
  • Assist in compiling consumption reports on utilities.
  • Ensure implementation of effective trouble reporting system.
  • Ensure implementation of planned preventive maintenance system.
  • Ensure that engineering department logs are kept in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that work order / request system is properly executed.
  • Ensure that all areas of the hotel are patrolled and inspected on a regular basis.
  • Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
  • Maintain stocks of materials, tools, equipment and spare parts and ensure the correct distribution of items.
  • Maintain logs of materials, tools, equipment and spare parts.
  • Handle the purchasing of materials, tools, equipment and spare parts and realize repairs. This includes contacting vendors for best prices, writing purchase orders, receiving goods and checking repairs.
  • Prepare purchase and work orders for realizing projects and cooperate efficiently with Director of Engineering on such matters.
  • Administrative tasks such as preparing reports, scheduling of personnel and record keeping.
  • Departmental training & development.
  • Perform any other technical duties as requested by the Director of Engineering.
  • Ensure timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Assume the duties of the Director of Engineering in his/her absence.
  • Assist Director of Engineering in the hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, disciplining and planning of activities of engineering department personnel.
  • Supervision of engineering department personnel.
  • Supervision of contractors.
  • Allocation of duties to the appropriate engineering staff / contractors.


  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline.
  • Turkish nationality.
  • Minimum 2 years or more of experience in a similar position in a luxury lifestyle brand.
  • Excellent command over written and spoken English and Turkish.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Must be technically competent.
  • Passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.
  • Great attention to details.
  • Can identify priorities and effectively execute tasks/projects accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving ability.
