Senior Architect

Job description

Senior Architect is responsible for coordinating BIM model execution through the scope of the works and conducting studies on various workflows and is responsible for the production of shop drawings for the purpose of the execution of architectural works to be carried out within the scope of the Project in a manner consistent with the Contract documents.

The role engages directly with the Engineer`s Representative to direct design progress along with the Project execution.

Senior Architect assists a team of architects and BIM Technicians and reports to the Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The base role responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

·        Leading the production process of shop drawings, reports, for approval within the stipulated program

·        Reviewing documentation, project deliverables necessary for the Project needs,

·        Conducting regular meetings and communicating with the Engineer`s Representative and directing design approval process,

·        Scheduling and planning all design related works, shop drawing production and approvals required for the execution of the works on site,

·        Supervising and coordinating the work with other disciplines,

·        Liaison with appointed Sub Consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers in line with their deed and agreed scope of services,

·        Actively participating design meetings and producing and following up an accurate action list regarding architectural works with specific to the appointed architectural package

·        Resolving the clashes by modifying the models or developing multidisciplinary design solutions as per the design intent

·        Incorporating Subcontractors’ models, design details, approved material and equipment details to LOD400 models

·         Reviewing detailed shops drawings to be submitted to the Engineer`s Representative for the approval,, or when necessary leading the team for shop drawing production from revit models.

Job Qualifications

·        Minimum Job Qualifications

-         Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or professionally-related field,

-         At least 8 years of experience as an Architect, minimum 2 year experience on and familiarity with Revit, executed works through Revit

-         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee operations, resolve complex and often controversial technical and management issues in a variety.

-         Strong knowledge of graphic and visualization skills with proficiency in BIM software, Revit and Navisworks,

-         Experience in design and documentation through Revit.

-         Knowledge and demonstrable experience in producing shop drawings from Revit models

·        Essential Job Qualifications

-         Professional proficiency in English,

-         Mastery in Revit experience on complex building projects.

-         Strong design skills and knowledge of construction methods,

-         Proven experience in construction administration including RFIs, change orders, and project close-out,

-         Experience in BIM executed projects,

·        Preferred Job Qualifications

-         Experience in international projects, preferably airport projects,

-         Ability to take initiative actions on design-wise issues.
