QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION (Assistant Manager):

This position will be mainly responsible for managing inbound and freight forwarding  such as import and export shipments arrangements, custom clearance and  requirements,  customer relations  management for freight forwarding operation scope  ,  bill of lading preparation process and customs clearance for the import service parts and finished goods. The person will be responsible for managing operations of   international and domestic transportation from / to all Samsung / 3rd party vendors / from - to Samsung Customers.

Other responsibilities include the management and coordination of a third party logistics relationship, ensuring that all costs and service levels are met. The position provides coordination between various teams such as vendors, suppliers, other service providers, customs brokers, forwarder and transporters , customers to accomplish company objectives.

The position will execute import- export freight operations  and compliance matters to ensure compliance with trade regulations as well.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the import and export – Custom Clearance and B/L organization.
  • Bill of lading preparation   process operating and tracking to finalize each issue.
  • Take action on time – in advance for export supply chain plans and purposes
  • Liaison with other groups (3PL, exporter –importers.vendors, buyers, etc.)
  • Coordinating and managing the relationship between LSPs (Forwarders, Customs Brokers, vendors and others)
  • Tracking the export procedure execution / regulations  and checking the customs process
  • Customer relations management  in operational scope
  • Arranging international transportations and tracking freights,  issue BL and similar documents
  • Tracking and supplying the mandatory documents for Export  operation.
  • Communicate with venders, suppliers, service providers, and customers


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 4 year university degree.
  • Min. 5 year experiance in similar position
  • Proficiency with implementing processes to comply with Controlling Agency requirements, such as Customs authorities, import and export custom and operation process.
  • Customer relations management  experience and communication skills must have.
  • Bill of Lading management, and forwarder experience are plus.
  • Excellence knowledge of freight  operations and INCOTERMS rules , implements.
  • Excellent logistics and supply chain skills included insurance, transportation, warehouse, freight forwaders (having a  certificate is plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent planning skills, and team player, time and deadline management, self controlled. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excel knowledge and SAP experience are plus.

 

REQUIRED LANGUAGES:

  • Oral and written communication skills in English and Turkish must be.
