Senior Software Engineer

As SAMPAŞ HOLDING, we are looking for a senior software engineer to join our business development and R&D team to be responsible and take part in hands-on innovative solutions software components and proposal development.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities will be:

• To develop and lead system and software components in ongoing funded R&D projects.
  

• To act as a full stack developer for R&D projects (front-end, back-end and integration services).
• To develop and take part in writing new research and innovation proposals & project(s) for future smart and sustainable cities (ICT, energy, health, water, mobility, security, food, waste, nano tech, materials, etc).
• To develop new products and innovative solutons for smart cities portfolio.
• To monitor both local and international R&D (Research, Development and Innovation) programmes (EU Horizon 2020, TEYDEB, EUREKA etc.), local & international tenders, initiatives on smart cities and contribute on the project development facilities in ICT and Smart Cities.
• To act a liason between local project teams and project consortiums.
• To take part in an R&D team for Horizon 2020 project development.
• To lead the progress of the projects under his/her responsibility.
• To support local & international business development facilities in smart cities.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

• Degree in Computer Science (PhD is a plus)
• To have at least 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
• To have at least 2 years of full stack development (front-end and back-end) and software architecture experience.
• To have an enterpreurship spirit.
• To be fully research-oriented (this position required research and development for new technologies, frameworks and platforms
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, PHP, Laravel, etc) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Kafka, Flume, MQ frameworks, Elasticsearch, visualization frameworks (Kibana, Grafana) etc.
• Familiarity with scalable platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, AWS, etc.
• Relevant professional experience in previous R&D programmes (FP7, H2020 experience is a plus).
• Very good command of spoken and written English (requires writing of qualified technical reports).
• Very good drafting, coordination and problem solving skills and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure (deadline oriented team work).
• Able to learn and take responsibility quickly and proactively.
• Able to travel both locally and abroad (mainly EU)
• Additional expertise and research background in additional fields including energy, water, mobility, health, security, materials etc. is a plus.
