Job Description;

Performing a wide range of technical tasks including, Preventive maintenance, Corrective maintenance for electric power transformers:

• Troubleshoot and repair Transformer equipment (winding temperature indicator, Buchholz relay, pressure relief device, winding, bushing, tap changer, etc), applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems. 
• Recommend changes or modified procedures to improve performance and Plant requirements.  Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements. 
• Assist in the coordination of scheduled downtime and plans for predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance correctly and in a timely manner. 
• Assist in planning and coordinating field service team efforts. Prepare quotes, open and close work orders. 

Required Education:

Certificate from a high school combined with a course to qualify as a skilled specialist.

Experience & Skills:

• Candidates must have a minimum of eight (8) years direct experience within the Oil and Gas industry in maintenance of power transformers.

Technical experience required should be at least including:

• Transformer installation and assembly. 
• Understanding standard and complex winding configurations and vector diagrams for testing purposes.
• Transformer testing skills including; transformer turns ratio (TTR), winding resistance, insulation resistance, polarity power-factor test and capacitance and increase in temperature test.
• Functional testing and troubleshooting of transformer alarm systems and control units.
• Vacuum, fill up and oil processing/re-generation & testing.
• No issues with traveling abroad and performing duties.
