We are looking for “Agronomy Manager” for our client, Tessenderlo.

This position is based in Izmir, Turkey . 

The Role:

• Reporting to the General Manager of Tessenderlo Agrochem
• Managing the technical and field activities aligned with and supporting the sales strategy for Turkey.
• Designing and coordinating the product demonstration trials in Turkey and developing fertilization programs, notably for liquid fertilizers at farmer level. This includes product recommendations, field monitoring, record keeping, and reporting.
• Participating to key exhibitions and fairs to promote our range of products and answering technical questions of distributors, retailers and farmers.
• Managing, leading, motivating and supporting the team of the technical agronomists working in the different Turkish regions, where Tessenderlo Agrochem has developed business.
• With the team of local agronomists, preparing and disseminating good technical practices related to our range of products, and with adequate support (PowerPoint, brochures, leaflets, etc.).
• Participating to the Agronet activities, the network of agronomists at Group level, and are responsible to cascade technical practices to the local team of agronomists and make sure they properly convey them to distributors, retailers and farmers.
• In charge of the overall market evaluation, including the segment exploration, the assessment of the market potential, and the identification of market opportunities.
• Advising the General Manager and the Sales Director about possible business development for our range of products.

 Requirements:

• Should have a Bachelor’s  Degree in Agronomy
• Should have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience
• Need to have project management experience
• Should have strong experience in stakeholder management
• Should have strong analytical skills and experience in market evaluation
• Should have good interpersonal skills (persuasion & efficiency) combined with good presentation skills
• Need to possess a positive and “can-do” attitude with a driven personality
• Should be a team player and capable to manage a working group in an organized way
• Should have knowledge of market-making techniques for promotion of Liquid Fertilizers
• Open to travel extensively and overnight in Turkey and abroad
• Must be fluent in Turkish and English
