Technical Service Representative

Whitford is now a part of PPG.

Position will be based in Istanbul and will be visiting some cities (Bursa – Afyon – Konya – Erzincan) not very often but mainly Kahramanmaraş region 1 time in a month.

Main Job Duties: 

·         Providing technical support to customers for applying PPG products. Defining, solving and reporting any problem that they come across during manufacturing

·         Building good relations with customers, attending and reporting line trials of new products at their facility to ensure smooth business start

·         Complete any Laboratory Work Requests (LWRs) in an efficient, organized, scientific and professional manner. Organizing and carrying out trials and tests in the laboratory when necessary

·         Being aware of new technologies, products, customer needs, sectoral developments and providing feedback to related people regarding these

·         Assist in the preparation and translation of technical documents including but not limited to the material safety data sheet (MSDS) and product data sheet (PDS) for new products developed

·         Participate in any technical service and customer visits when required

Undertake other activities to support the smooth running of the department as requested by MD

Requirements:

·         University Graduate, Chemical Engineer or Chemistry

·         Having 3+ years’ professional background in chemicals or coatings/paint industries

·         Analytical thinking, perfect problem solving skills

·         Being a team player with adaptable personality

·         Having excellent communication skills

·         Ability to prioritize and act on own initiative when required, self-motivated

·         Fluency in both written and spoken English

·         Proficiency in MS Office applications

·         SDS preparation and confirmation license
