Procurement Specialist

pladis, one of the largest and fast growing groups of Turkey, is looking for Indirect Procurement Specialist who will work for Ulker Bıscuıt Factory in Gebze. A brief job description of the position and preferred qualifications for the suitable candidates are defined below;

*Responsible from effective purchasing of Indirect Materials, Equipment, Supplies and Services and making short or long term contracts with the suppliers where appropriate through using market intelligence

*Use market knowledge to generate, and update regularly, accurate short/medium and long-term forecasts for Material pricing to aid better purchasing decisions

*Partner with our suppliers to ensure that strong cost reduction programs are in place on all major spend items

*Develops the appropriate procurement tools, reports and trends to monitor procurement performance within the organization.

*Map out cash flow requirements and work with material planning and suppliers to reduce the overall cash requirements and stockholding of the plant

*Issue all Indirect materials, Technical materials, Supplies and Services orders per purchase requisition and per agreements

*Tracks All Open Orders until receiving of the related material/ equipment and services and informs requesters regularly

*Coordinates any issues (quality, invoice etc.) with suppliers on time. Checks and approves all related invoices on time

*Advise senior management on effective strategies for purchasing materials and supplies and procurement procedures.

*Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines

*Experience of minimum 3 years

*Good command of software applications, especially SAP Module, MS Office

*Considerable knowledge of purchasing methods of analyzing supplies, materials and services also procedures and techniques of specification writing

*Experience of strategic sourcing and food/packaging sourcing

*Fluent in English
