Technical Specialist - Mechanical

We are looking for a “Technical Specialist - Mechanical” to be part of the Technical Services team, reporting to Supervisor Technical Support. The position will be based in Philsa factory in İzmir Torbalı and shall carry on Asset Care and Insourced Maintenance Governance related tasks.

The incumbent of this position will be responsible for: 

• Carry out regular reviews of maintenance and production support activities in connection with equipment availability/reliability and as well as cost aspects.
• Ensure that OEM is taking appropriate corrective actions and implementing them to prevent or minimize the incidence of unplanned downtimes as well as eliminate under-performance on related assets.
• Reduce Unplanned Downtime loss of related assets in the factory in order to achieve the required volume output. 
• Act as the single point of contact in the scope of Breakdown Maintenance activities and urgent part requirements.
• Optimize Preventing Maintenance Task frequencies with monitoring and analyzing the component-based failure modes. Analyze the deviations from the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) (together with AM & PM Pillar methodologies) on machines and ensure the necessary corrective actions are taken.
• Provide and prepare periodical maintenance reports for the equipment under his/her responsibilities by ensuring all task executions are recorded at SAP PM Module.
• Reflect changes in the Preventing Maintenance Task Lists on the SAP PM Module.
• Support PM Pillar in reporting of progress on maintenance activities by controlling actual task executions versus planned on a weekly basis for the equipment under his responsibility.
• Support Supervisor Technical Support in Repair & Maintenance cost reporting. Control and report actual spending versus budgeted on a regular basis in order to keep costs in line with the business plan. Manage the cost of maintaining appropriate and associated spare parts. Organize repair activities where feasible.
• Organize daily and monthly maintenance work orders by making necessary spare part availability controls beforehand. 
• Ensure that EHS is integrated into maintenance activities / Planned Maintenance Routines (PMR), and adherence to EHS Policy & Procedures is strictly maintained.

Candidates should be /have: 

• University graduate, Bachelor’s degree in a related field; preferably with Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic background.
• Min three years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in manufacturing. 
• Advance English in both writing and speaking is a must.
• Excellent level in these PC Skills: MS Office, SAP, SAP PM Module.
• Familiarity with traditional and modern part manufacturing, maintenance planning & execution methods and techniques.
• Ability to conduct cost-benefit and other complex analysis.
• High level of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Experience in organizing complex activities/projects.
• Excellent communication as well as conflict management skills.
