Job Description:

• Ensure the continuity and improvement of the GEHSMS and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) System and the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ensure that the necessary actions are taken,
• Ensure and comply with PepsiCo Environmental Occupational Health and Safety Policy,
• Comply with legal and PepsiCo requirements regarding environment, occupational health and safety,
• Provide training on the environment and to sustain environmental awareness
• Control the operation of wastewater treatment plant and OWM Biomethanization Plant.
• Follow the treatment plant discharge limits and activities, make regular reporting on the treatment facility water discharge,
• Monitor wastewater and OWM Plant efficiencies with regular reporting,
• Ensure that the final wastes from WWTP and OWM Plant are transmitted to the relevant units in accordance with the law,
• Support all committees established in accordance with the law on the environment
• Carry out works to prevent production stops/interruptions arising from the treatment plant and OWM Plant,
• Carry out works on to prevent production stops / interruptions arising from solid waste management or environmental complaints,
• Ensure that all legal notifications are made on time,
• Report to senior management on the performance of the environmental management system, including planning internal audits, training, and recommendations for improvements at the end of review activities,
• Comply with the requirements of TMGD, to follow the actions,
• Follow up all actions of pollution control,waste management, recycling, environmental health, protection and renewable energy and plan &implement environmental activities at Plant,
• Conduct capacity increase projects related to the WWTP & OWM plant
• Ensure that actions are taken by making risk notifications within the scope of Health and Safety,
• Having the responsibility to report problems with the food safety management system to the food safety team
• Reduce workforce losses and absenteeism due to work accidents,
• Make the general risk assessment of the plant and to renew it if necessary,
• Provide training on Health and Safety to sustain OHS awareness and inform the employees of the EHS Policy
• Implement health and safety activities at Plant,
• Organize annual evacuation drills and to follow the actions to be taken,
• Follow up risk notifications and to create action plans,
• Organize accident investigation meetings with relevant departments in case of work accidents/incidents,
• Organize and conduct monthly EHS committee, publish the report and following the actions,
• Follow up site tour findings and reporting field controls,
• Plan field inspections and provide controls for routine and non-routine tasks
• Support all committee established within the company as required by law regarding health and safety, and follow up legal and other requirements,
• Participate in planned general reviews, follow up nonconformities, ensure the continuity and improvement of the system, ensure compliance with Legal and Other Requirements
• Complete the legal measurements and the legal and PepsiCo requirements,
• Having the responsibility to report problems with the food safety management system to the safety team
• Monitor EHS budget and capex, preventing possible budget overruns, opening demands,
• To monitor and manage energy consumption within the scope of ISO 50001 Energy Management System, to comply with the plan, to organize corrective and preventive actions for over-plan consumption, to establish systems and processes necessary for the improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, use and consumption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Environmental Engineering preferred)
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Environment Officer Certificate from Ministry of Environment is an asset
• Preferred C Class Safety Specialist Certificate
• Proficiency in English and Turkish language skills
• Good at MS Office applications
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented
