General Qualifications:

Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals.

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist, expected to have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant fields from a reputable university
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in commercial departments
• Strong analytical skills and financial awareness
• Strong Communication, collaboration, influencing skills
• Good Negotiation Skill
• Strategic view
• Able to work independently as well as in team
• Problem solving, flexible, organized
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Enthusiastic personality
• Strong adaptability of different cultures and willing to travel
• No obstacle for travel
• Good knowledge of MS office + SAP

Job Description:

Reporting to Country Procurement Manager, position holder will be responsible for;

•  Performing procurement functions in compliance with short and mid-term targets of company, laws, bid limits, and board policies
  
• Managing direct and indirect procurement categories
  
• Sourcing activities of relevant categories such as Chemical, Packaging and Services
  
• Execution of supplier selection and evaluation process together with internal client(s) under supervision of Procurement Manager
  
• Initiating and following-up internal approval systems for Management
  
• Issuing Purchase Orders and Contracts on SAP PTP system for all procurement spend categories
  
• Supporting and participating in company’s business and cost reduction projects
  
• Maintaining awareness of world marketplace through personal contacts, trade journals and monitoring of world economic conditions
  
• Payment terms improvement
  
• Compliance with Company Procurement Policy
