About the Department
Legal and Compliance is responsible for supporting Turkish Affiliate of Novo Nordisk in all legal and compliance issues and ensuring the implementation of the global and local policies and requirements in Turkey.
As a Legal and Compliance Specialist, you will report to the Legal and Compliance Director of the Affiliate and serve in all relevant legal and compliance matters. Within this context, you will carry out and continually assess the effective implementation of the Global and International Operations Legal strategy and Compliance Plan. You will ensure compliance with legal and business ethics requirements by providing high quality services.
Furthermore, you will be responsible of ensuring full business ethics compliance in the Affiliate by developing and implementing processes and programmes for effective monitoring and conducting internal controls.
Additionally, you will act as data protection responsible for the Affiliate. You will maintain and update data mapping, risk assessment, and compliance documentation for the Affiliate. You will handle data subject requests for access, update, deletion of personal data and support interactions with Data Protection Authorities. You will cascade communication and support knowledge sharing within the Affiliate on personal data protection.
You have a relevant law degree from high-ranked law school and are a member of the applicable legal bar/law society with 3-5 years legal experience. LL.M. degree or equivalent is desired.
You should have experience and extensive knowledge as a qualified lawyer on administrative law, data protection, contract law, competition law, corporate and commercial law, employment law, dispute resolution and litigation, intellectual property law and pharmaceuticals regulation and transactions. Furthermore, you should have experience of business ethics and compliance in pharmaceuticals industry.
You should have excellent command over both written and spoken English and Turkish.
You should be highly skilled in stakeholder management and has good understanding of business and industry. High level of communication skills is required in the position. You should have ability to maintain strict confidentiality, assertiveness, robust personality, business and service orientation, high professional and personal integrity.
