MSC Cruises

JOB PURPOSE

In compliance with MSC procedures, local legislation and accounting rules, carries out operational tasks in order toprovide and ensure an effective operational service for MSC Cruises Turkey.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Records, monitors and supervises all accounting related activities performed by MSC Cruises Turkey andintervenes to solve issues in order to guarantee accuracy and quality of accounting results.

·         Responsible for the monthly regular recording of transactions including account payable/receivable ledgers andensures that accounting reports are correct and delivered on time;

·         Is the point of entry Contact person for all accounting queries from Head Office and auditors;

·         Performs monthly reconciliation of balances;

·         Prepares regular and ad hoc reports on all accounting issues topics in order to provide Management and thebusiness with relevant financial information;

·         Controls the correct application of accounting principles and procedures in Turkey in order to ensureharmonization and efficiency;

·         Informs management of any relevant change in the legal framework or tax duties in order to keep them updatedon possible impact on operations (consolidation under IFRS);

·         Acts as liaison with company attorneys on contract reviews and governmental requirements;

·         Contributes to improve agreements with travel agencies and collection terms;

·         Reporting of monthly VAT return to the local tax authority;

·         Provides periodic entity cash flows as per Corporate Treasury needs.

·         Ensures payments are on track to be paid within the agreed payment terms.

·         Control of the declarations to the goverment;

·         Supervises HR and personnel costs evolution activities in collaboration with the HR Corporate team;

·         Manages and reports the quarterly forecast and budget processes;

·         Creates and follows up general and administrative expenses (SG&A) budget for MSC Cruises Turkey in order toensure continuous cost control and efficiency;

·         In line with Management Team and external stakeholders’ needs creates, develops and maintains the TurkishBusiness Intelligence reports in order to provide relevant information and decision support;

·         In line with Company guidelines, participates to local and global ad hoc projects in order to contribute to thedevelopment of the finance/accounting processes;

·         In line with MSC procedures, administrates the accounting part of the Accounts payables and ensures properreporting of regarding the Turkish marketing costs within the Parent Company.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

·         Fluent in Turkish and English;

·         University degree in accounting, biz economic or equivalent knowledge gained through other means;

·         Minimum 5 years experience in accounting/finance department, preferably in an international group of companies;

·         Good understanding of databases/BI tools and work experience in development and maintenance of BusinessIntelligence reports;

·         Initiative Proactivity and capability to work in a diversified Group;

·         Good understanding of Excel and Microsoft programmes;

·         Good Understanding of SAP programmes is required;

·         Good Knowledge of Turkish Business Intelligence reports;

·         Excellent communication skills;

·         IFRS and Local Gaap strong understanding and proven application;

·         Hands-on approach, good in work planning.
