We are a logistics company located in the U.S.A., with an operation support team located in Istanbul.

We are looking for a team member for our Istanbul office. Istanbul team is responsible to help and support the U.S.A. operations team. All communications will be in English (via phone calls and emails) therefore advanced English is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Daily duties may vary, below are some of the most common tasks:

* Making phone calls to ocean carriers located in the U.S.A to obtain information such as vessel information, space availability, vessel sailing or arrival dates, etc.

* Requesting rates and availability from various vendors, and ensure all requests are fulfilled properly. This task will require your prompt organizational skills, sending reminders via email or making phone calls to the vendors that have not responded on a timely manner.

* Obtaining ocean bookings as per our needs using our logistics software.

* Preparing the Booking Confirmation document to be sent to our clients.

* Following up of some daily/weekly/monthly tasks without additional initiation by the operations team. (Advanced task to be assigned after adequate experience is gained).

* Preparing or reviewing MBL and HBL documents (Advanced task to be assigned after adequate experience is gained).

Please note we will provide training for all the tasks that will be required as well as training for our logistics software.

Advanced English is a must as you will not be able to handle this position without it. A good understanding of using computers, and general ability to learn and navigate through software(s) is required.

Our business hours are weekdays from 15:30 to 01:00 (during summer time), and weekdays from 16:30 to 02:00 (during winter hours).

Our office is near Cumhuriyet Mahallesi Metrobus bus stop with busses available 24/7.
