QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The leading international travel agency  “Meeting Point Turkey” which has operations in 8 different regions in Turkey is looking for a “Finance Director" in Antalya Office for its dynamic, success-oriented and highly motivated team.

Purpose of the job

The purpose of the Finance Director role is to oversee the Finance department and manage the Finance team at Meeting Point Turkey to ensure that the workload is appropriately prioritized and delegated in accordance with the business needs. This will include monitoring performance and productivity as well as supporting the development of the team and overseeing the administrative, financial and risk management functions to ensure the presentation and reporting of accurate and timely financial information.

About You

  • 10+ years of work experience, ideally with a reputable multinational and/or audit firm,
  • Ideally 4 or 5 years of experience in a similar role,
  • Background in Big 4 Public Accounting is a big asset,
  • Natural leader who can manage large financial teams,
  • Extensive experience in budgeting/forecasting, accounting, controlling, cost accounting, management reporting,
  • Excellent command of the English language,
  • Familiarity with SAP and other relevant IT systems,
  • Ability to manage change and cope with multiple tasks whilst working to tight deadlines,
  • Sound analytical skills and experience translating a strategic vision into an operational model
  • Ability to effectively trouble shoot problems and work collaboratively within a team environment,
  • Highly motivated and flexible,
  • Willingness to travel at least 40% of the time. 

  • About the role
    Principal Responsibilities  
  • Responsibility for all financial aspects of the Meeting Point Turkey,
  • Assist the CFO MP Turkey in formulating, implementing and executing the financial strategy of Meeting Point Turkey,
  • Produce accurate and timely consolidated management accounts, budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the Meeting Point Turkey,
  • Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software,
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements,
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns,
  • Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies,
  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements,
  • Ensure compliance with tax, legal and regulatory matters,
  • Ensure that administrative, financial, risk management and reporting tasks are completed accurately and in a timely fashion,
  • Coordination with Group treasury on treasury and FX matters.
