SCOPE
This position is responsible for managing all local computer technology and services in the Hotel which can include, but is not limited to: networks, hardware, operating systems, anti-virus, internet access and all related systems, office automation and email systems, departmental systems for front office, back office, sales & catering, personnel, spa, and other network based software supporting these systems; network security and compliance; where not the responsibility of the Engineering department, cabling, access control system, voice and guest technologies..
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
The job of IT Manager is executed satisfactorily when:
? All IT Systems are running smoothly in the hotel and the IT function is acting in a proactive manner rather than reactive.
? IT is driving efficiencies in the use of applications enabling the other departments to successfully complete their tasks.
?All Corporate IT related policies and procedures have been implemented and a successful self audit has been carried out.
? The IT department runs to budget.
? The hotel has an acceptable level of PCI compliance.
?All Kempinski standards related to guest facing technology are implemented to an acceptable level.
At Kempinski, Talent Development is a management responsibility and consequently an integral and important part of our Managers’ daily activities.
The IT Manager fulfils their role as a Talent Development Ambassador when:
? They actively support and implement Talent Development initiatives as a part of their daily activities.
? They identify Training talents in their department and throughout the hotels as per below definition* and actively support their career development.
? They support and initiate transfer, cross exposure and task force assignments for their team.
? They personally conduct TTTTs with their team on a regular basis and take personal interest for their talents’ development plans.
?They recruit and select potential talent according to the Company’s current and future hotel, regional and worldwide needs including conducting interviews for positions in their department and their region.
*A Hotel Talent is an employee, who has the ability to do the current job in their hotel and can be promoted to the next level. Mobility is what makes this person a Kempinski Talent.
