Recent projects include the completion of piping works of several process units and the turnkey delivery of storage tanks in STAR Refinery. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced “Contract Manager” to strenghten our Headquarters in İstanbul. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree from a reputable university in engineering faculties, preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, 
• Minimum 10 years of office/site experience for a similar position in refineries, petrochemical and power plant projects, 
• Experienced in contracts management, including standard form contracts, and dealing with the integration of Health & Safety legislation into various types of Construction Contracts, 
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office Applications, 
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,
• Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasive skills, 
• Problem solver, analytical thinking, with ability to inquire and research, 
• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills, 
• Excellent time management skills, attentive to deadlines, rigorous and detail-oriented,
  
• Being flexible in working hours and have no travel restrictions, 
• Position may be based on İstanbul, İzmir or Azerbaijan,
  
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.

JOB DEFINITION

• Manages the contractual responsibilities and functions for projects from commencement through completion. Functional scope includes development of the project contracts strategy, administration of the main contract, support in subcontract administration, change orders and claims. Ensure that company fulfills all obligations associated with the contracts,
• Transfers contractual documents and information to the Project Team as appropriate (for example, through dedicated contract-induction sessions),
• Prepares in advance the “tools” to be used during the course of the Project, in particular: the diagram of the Contract, the list of notices and communications under the Contract, the wording of the standard notices; and reports performance data to the management to be used in improving contracts management tools,
• Prepares the documents necessary to ensure that confidentiality obligations are fulfilled,
• Assists the Project Team in handling the contractually relevant matters, 
• Drafts the correspondence concerning contractual matters, 
• Keeps contemporaneous contractual records, assesses the consequences thereof in relation to cost and time; and informs the management in order to take necessary actions, 
• Participates in negotiation and finalization of contract amendments, change orders and claims, 
• Identifies the delays and disruptions, 
• Supports Project Management in quantitative and qualitative evaluation of project risks during the execution phase, 
• Assists in development and implementation of systems and resources necessary to fulfil contract management functions, 
• Supports the Proposal and Business Development departments on the contract related matters for the bid preparation.
