QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Şti. is looking for a dynamic, innovative and passionate "Business Development Specialist" based in Istanbul or Ankara who will act in accordance with our core values of Universality, Customer Orientation, Loyalty and Sustainability; is passionate about his/her job; has a high sense of responsibility and development focus.

This challenging position will be reporting to directly Business Director and enable you to demonstrate and enhance your skills both in Turkey andInternational Markets.

Expectations from a Potential Candidate:

  • This role will be primarily responsible for supporting Business Development activities both in Turkey and International Markets with a more experienced background in order to provide significant contribution to commercial efforts.

  • This role will be also responsible of business development related database management, reporting and analysis, digital marketing activities including social media management and as well as event planning/coordination.

  • Provide support in developing contacts with potential Clients (international Funding Agencies, Local Ministries, etc.) and Beneficiaries (Local Administrations, Municipalities, Ministries, etc.) in order to explore business opportunities.

  • Following up project opportunities both in Turkey and International Markets managed and financed by both local administrations and international funding institutions.

  • Supporting on the detection of opportunities in the Private sector and follow up of them

  • Contributing to Business Development strategies consistent with corporate vision & goals and take required actions accordingly

  • Researching, gathering and analyzing data in order to identify business development opportunities in different but relevant markets and providing insights & recommendations regarding business development activities,

  • Provide support in building a comprehensive understanding of the industry dynamics (competitors, customers, partners, regulators, etc.), both in Turkey and International Markets

  • Chasing and attending fairs/event/organizations/meetings which are promising and opportunistic for us to develop commercial relationships and as well as to understand existing and further developments in the relevant industries.

  • Meeting and building relationships with targeted international and local clients with the objective of introducing our company and increasing our exposure for business opportunities/ specific programs /projects

  • Coordinating external advisors as well as a variety of internal teams during business development effort,

  • Compiling periodic market developments and project status reports for advising top management and providing strategic insights regarding potential risks, opportunities, and other aspects of the process.

  • Managing proposal preparation from the beginning to the end including but not limited to expert search, reference gathering, and structuring of proposal content, negotiation with partners, budget calculation etc.

  • Creating & maintaining & updating customer, vendor and expert database



Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering with MBA is preferred.

Professional / Technical Skills & Experience

  • 3 – 5 years of demonstrated progressive work history and increased responsibility in the field of Engineering and Consultancy.

  • Experience in the commercial/business development department of an engineering company will be an asset.

  • Previous experience that demonstrates ability to excellent communication skills.

  • Good written and oral English language skills, as well as Turkish language skills are must.

  • Knowledge in;

-international standards for tendering procedures for projects financed by international funding agencies such as European Union, European Investment Bank, World Bank, etc.

-familiarity with Turkish standards for tendering procedures (KIK)

  • Efficient use of MS Office and relevant technical software,

  • Has B Class Driving license and active driver

  • Personal & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Having Business acumen and strategic commercial approach,

  • Must be capable of performing duties with minimal direction and supervision; displays excellent time management skills and is capable of setting priorities in order to accomplish tasks in a highly accurate fashion and timely manner.

  • Must establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail, strong proofreading and editing skill

  • Initiative, creative, and open-minded with strong results-orientation

  • Be willing to work long and flexible hours to meet project deadlines, when required.

  • Ability to represent the Company in business environment.
