QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

TECHNICIANS - YOTEL ISTANBUL GRAND AIRPORT
 
Istanbul Airport City
İstanbul Airport City, located at the İstanbul New Airport project, is a globally unique urban development project located near the airport within the boundaries of the expropriation area.
İstanbul Airport City will be built to perfection with a 10 million square meter area to be a reference point for the cities of future airports around the world.
İstanbul Airport City; will be surrounded by green, sustainable design and architecturally rich buildings with offices, shopping centers, social facilities, hospitals, schools and exhibition facilities.

YOTEL & YOTELAIR Istanbul Airport, will operate with 451 cabins with super comfy adjustable queen size Smart Bed, work desk and a techno wall with mood lighting and HD Smart TV. There is rain shower and heated towel rock in all the cabins. There will generous Food & Beverage facilities namely a Club Lounge, Restaurant and Grab & Go 7/24 at the service of our guests. Meeting rooms will be the new center of the meetings with no need to go the city and also there is a Fitness Room, Sauna and Hammam facilities for our guests to enjoy the long time between the flights and feel no stress.

Skills and qualifications we are looking for:
-          Minimum of 3 years of Engineering Management experience preferably in a hospitality organization
-          Ability to read and speak English fluently. Second or multiple languages are a plus.
-          Skills: Administrative, managerial and operational skills
-          Resource management
-          Proactive approach towards industry developments and trends
-          Uphold the highest standards of YOTEL Istanbul New Airport and business culture.

İŞ TANIMI

Position Overview:
 

Responsible for the property maintenance of hotel building, plant and equipment including furniture, fittings and fixtures. Not limit to kitchen, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works. Ensuring engineering works within Hotel operation are conforming to YOTEL Engineering Standards and local authority requirement. Provide a professional support service to the YOTEL Executive Team to achieve the strategic goals of establishment.

 
Key Relationships:
 
-          Internal: Mission and Ground Control, Housekeeping, IT, Owner Representatives and YOTEL Home Office staff.
-          External: YOTEL guests/visitors, other hotel personnel and vendors/suppliers.
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
 
-          Assist support service to the Chief Engineer to meet the strategic goals of Engineering department.
-          Carry out all work request assigned.
-          Be familiar with the hotel MGE equipment, Building Management System (BMS), etc to be able to perform the work/task assigned.
-          Ensure all requests for maintenance are carried out within an acceptable time frame.
-          Enter full records relating to utility costs throughout the hotel.
-          Perform general repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment based on skill and experience level.
-          Carry out regular inspections of plant and equipment and ensure that inspections required by Government authorities are conducted and documented.
-          Carry out general room inspection, preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
-          including scheduling of all these works.
-          Supervise and assist with the Fire Protection Preventative Maintenance Program.
-          Assist to ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel.
-          Assist to ensure proper measures are taken to protect the environment and the Hotel's adherence to it,
-          Implements energy and water management systems to minimize wastage and costs.
-          Perform Preventative Maintenance and Condition Monitoring Programs.
-          Carry out work on the daily operation and maintenance of buildings, electrical and
-          mechanical services, water features, fixtures, furnishings and equipment.
-          Liaise and supervise Property Maintenance Contractors on site and ensure appropriate standards are met.
-          Carry out all emergency repairs to all technical equipment related to individual's skill and experience level.
-          Maintain all workshop tools and equipment for the running of workshop’s trades and functions.
-          Ensure that workshops have adequate stock and materials in Stores and that all workshops are kept in a clean and safe environment.
 
 
-          Attend meetings as required.
-          Implement opportunities for quality Team Building.
-          Ensure and comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
-          Ensure compliance with legislated workplace health and safety requirements
-          Responsibility for the cleanliness of all plant / mechanical equipment rooms.
-          Assist all engineering associates with maintenance and repairs when required.

Essential Physical Abilities:
 
-          Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.
-          Ability to grasp, push or pull heavy loads, and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes weighing up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
-          Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
-          Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
-          Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
