BELLBOY - YOTEL ISTANBUL GRAND AIRPORT

İstanbul Airport City, located at the İstanbul New Airport project, is a globally unique urban development project located near the airport within the boundaries of the expropriation area.
İstanbul Airport City will be built to perfection with a 10 million square meter area to be a reference point for the cities of future airports around the world.

YOTEL & YOTELAIR Istanbul Airport, will operate with 451 cabins with super comfy adjustable queen size Smart Bed, work desk and a techno wall with mood lighting and HD Smart TV. There is rain shower and heated towel rock in all the cabins. There will generous Food & Beverage facilities namely a Club Lounge, Restaurant and Grab & Go 7/24 at the service of our guests. Meeting rooms will be the new center of the meetings with no need to go the city and also there is a Fitness Room, Sauna and Hammam facilities for our guests to enjoy the long time between the flights and feel no stress.

  • Minimum 1 year of Bell Team experience in a branded hotel or a related industry.
  • Good in time management.

  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Uphold the highest standards of YOTEL Istanbul Airport and business culture.

İŞ TANIMI

Position Overview:

Ground Control Crew will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and arrival experience for all our guests. Additionally, they will assist guests in answering questions about the hotel, local area and Istanbul, including restaurants, attractions and events. The Ground Control Crew Member will be responsible for, but not limited to greeting all YOTEL guests, and assisting with luggage as needed. All responsibilities shall be carried out in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, in accordance with YOTEL’s core values.
 
Key Relationships:
 
  • Internal: Mission Control, Sales, Revenue, Housekeeping, Accounting, Maintenance, IT, YOTEL Home Staff
  • External: YOTEL guests/visitors, other hotel personnel and vendors/suppliers.
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Receive Guests in a professional and friendly manner, exceeding Guest expectation from arrival through to departure
  • Maintain effective communication with all related Departments to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of the Hotel and local services
  • Maintain awareness of Guest profile through StayNTouch Guest profile system
  • Ensure that the Guest luggage is carried from arrival point to room and from room to departure point on check out
  • Handle all messages, mail and packages for Guests and Employees, ensuring they are delivered at the appropriate time in a professional manner
  • Deliver Guest messages and other deliveries immediately without delay in a professional manner
  • Ensure store room is clean tidy and well organized
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
 
Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • Ability to work independently with limited support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent listening skills; ability to comfortably and effectively communicate with people
  • Strong ability to track actions and follow through on processes
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger
  • Strong detail orientation; ability to set priorities,
  • Strong ability to track actions and follow through on processes
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an unstructured, fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with multiple priorities with enthusiasm
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • At least one-year of recent guest services experience (preferably concierge or front desk) in a 4 to 5-star hotel (and familiarity with the quality and service expectations associated therewith) required. 
  • Uphold the highest standards of YOTEL Istanbul Airport and business culture.
  • Maintain a friendly & cohesive work environment with crew, internal departments & guests.
 
Essential Physical Abilities:
 
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Ability to grasp, push or pull heavy loads, and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes weighing up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time.
