QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a “Purchasing Supervisor” for our client in Aegean Free Zone, İzmir with the qualifications below;

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven 5 years of experience in procurement,
  • Bachelors Degree from a related field,
  • Previous experience in Food/confectionary business is preferred,
  • Excellent level of English,
  • Working knowledge in customs process, regulations, tax, and free zone regulations,
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market and trends.
  • ERP / software knowledge is a must,
  • Multidisciplinary experience is an asset, (logistics, planning, production, finance, etc)
  • Ability to work standalone basis with limited guidance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Position & Objectives

  • Day-to-day purchasing operations, imports/ exports, and customs process management,
  • The design, implementation, and execution of standard processes, procedures and controls regarding purchasing, imports, exports, and product/supplier master data.
  • As a member of the ERP project team, implementation of ERP systems for procurement, stock, and supplier master data as well as the process design
  • Contributing the strategic plan and overall business strategy on cash flow management (stock & creditor side), simplification & optimization of import/export operations and developing short term and long term procurement/sourcing strategies for the company.
  • Monthly forecasts of material & services purchases, stocks & creditors.
  • Establishing and nurturing the relationships with suppliers and managing the relations with customs, ESBAS and other bodies.
  • Finding the best supplier, getting the best price at the desired quality & terms while maintaining a group of strategic suppliers
  • Managing intercompany sales & sourcing, transfer pricing within the group companies
  • Supplier contract management
  • Following the customs, tax & other regulations published, which are impacting the operations
