Heinen & Hopman is currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join his team based in Istanbul, Turkey. The commissioning engineer will work in concert with a multinational engineering team to put into use of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems installed in large marine vessels.

Required Skills/Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Commissioning & Controls of mechanical systems,
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering,
• Knowledge of the marine industry – an asset,
• Experience with various PLC and Industrial controls systems – an asset,
• Is familiar with HVAC Systems – an asset,
• Excellent writing and oral English skills,
• Has strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills,
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and attention to timelines,
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Being responsible from start to end testing, programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects,
• Testing and troubleshooting equipment for HVAC systems during commissioning and Factory Acceptance Tests,
• Developing the quality of products and systems which is delivered for global projects as playing an important role in a team,
• Acting as company ‘’expert’’ in HVAC-R and Electrical Systems during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and programming systems in vessels,
• Executing tasks within time and budget,
• Supporting Field Technicians during start-up and commissioning,
• Preparing commissioning, progress, and completion reports for clients and management,
• Working closely with other teams such as Refrigeration and/or HVAC project teams.
