Supplier Development Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor's Degree; preferably, Mechanical Engineering and Materials & Metallurgical Engineering

·         Min 2-3 years of experience in purchasing and/or supplier development field, preferably in multinational company

·         Good command of verbal and written English

·         Ability to use ERP and MS Office applications

·         Experienced in cost analysis, supplier management, supplier audits

·         Experienced in problem solving in quality field

·         Team player with high level of energy and enthusiasm

·         Keen attention to details and accuracy

·         Strong analytical and proactive problem solving skills, result oriented

·         Preferably having VDA 6.3 Process Audit certificate and IATF 16949 based audit certificate

·         Living in Asian side of Istanbul or around Gebze - İzmit area

·         Valid Driving License, ability to travel when necessary

·         No military obligation for male candidates

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Reporting to Plant Purchasing Manager & EU Regional Supp. Dev. Manager

·         Responsible for solving quality & operational problems with supplier in production

·         Responsible for audits of new/current supplier and correct implemetation of audits findings

·         Responsible for new programme development activities in supplier side

·         Follow up on sample/Prototype parts requirements during development stage

·         Monitors and reports status of new products development with suppliers; cooperates with the Global/ Local Supplier Quality department

·         Participates in solving suppliers´ complaints, including reviews of suppliers´ 8D reports

·         Responsible for corrective actions and checks effectiveness of corrective actions directly at supplier´s site if necessary

·         Responsible for process audits & supplier systems audits according to approved annual plan

·         Responsible for implementing cost / quality based improvement programs at suppliers

·         Responsible for up-to date data in the internal supplier database (reportcard)

·         Responsible for regular reporting of supplier performance and related escalation to management team

·         Being part of APQP and PPAP process with supplier,Managing supplier launch readiness & program milestones in new project development phase

·         Supporting Supplier “Change Request” process and supporting Purchasing Team

·         Searching for new suppliers and developing existing supplier base,Maintain cost roadmaps for financial targets when necessary

·         Supporting Price Management, unit price control, system price update when necessary

·         Supporting Commodity Buyer’s on the following initiative’s; Outsourcing, Insourcing, Resourcing, Market Test, Make/Buy Studies

·         Supporting Capacity Study outputs from supplier’s, implement additional actions if needed

·         Supporting Plant MPL teams to resolve delivery issues with supplier’s
