Finance and Accounting Supervisor

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance,
• CPA, Big 4 or similar experience is an Asset,
• 8+ year experience with production environment,
• Strong technical U.S. GAAP and Local GAAP accounting knowledge,
• Managerial experience,
• Knowledge of best practices in accounting and finance,
• Require a good communication skill both oral and in writing, English and Turkish.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Gates is the one of the leading companies in Automotive Industry all over the world. Our main products are Tensioners in İzmir facility in Aegean Free Zone.Finance and Accounting Supervisor will have the responsibilities below;

• Supervise, coordinate and assure all accounting transactions are properly registered in general ledger, controlled and reconciled in compliance with both Gates accounting policies (USGAAP rules) and Turkish accounting standard for 3 entities of Gates in Turkey.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
• Summarizes local financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
• Coordinates and assures that all local and Gates reporting are done properly and on time.
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
• Cooperates on the budget process and monthly forecast
• Secures financial information by completing database backups
• Develop the accounting knowledge of the Turkish finance team and plan, assign and review staff’s work
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Work with a high degree of accuracy and expect that from his/her team.
