GENERAL MANAGER WITH A LEGAL BACKGROUND

We are looking to hire an experienced General Manager with a legal background to join our reputable company İn BODRUM, Turkey. The candidate will use his/her experience and competence, and goodbusiness understanding to independently provide Professional services in business operations of the Company and the Owner and assist him whenever required.

The role requires the ability to manage and develop the business in and outside Turkey,, coordinate the legal work and business in those jurisdictions.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Run and develop strategic and operational business and legal support to reach the Company’stargets successfully. 

2. Provide guidance and advise on all general issues in a multi-jurisdiction environmentas in coordination with the Owner. 

3. Draft and Negotiate new contracts and also update and review the existing ones.

4. Conduct and/or obtain market reasearches, feasibility studies and short term and long term projection estimates. 

5. Liaise with and Manage Outside Counsels in relation to litigation matters.

6. Provide accurate information and guidance in accordance with the new legislations and regulatory requirements that may have an affect on the Company.

7. Writing Excellent Professional business letters and reports both in Turkish and English.

8. Accurate and Detailed Briefing and Reporting to the Owner within the given periods. 
   

Qualifications: 

1. University Degree in Law with a second and/or master degree.

2. At least 5 years of professional experience, acquired in a leading law firm in addition to a minimum 8 years of experience as an executive at managerial level.

3. Master degree on the above subjects in US, UK or similar jurisdiction is highly desired.

4. Knowledge of US laws /or International Commercial and Contracts Law will be an asset.

5.  Proficiency in Business English and Legal English is a MUST.

8. Able to make priorities and excellent time and stress management is a MUST.

9. An active listener, practical, humble, hard working with a Professional work discipline. 

10. Natural problem solver, Positive with a  “can-do attitute”.

11. Should be able to quickly develop a respectful and strong internal and external network.

12. Excellent representation skills to increase the reputation of the Owner and his Companies in formal and social events and contacts including the VIPs. 

13. Non-smoker.

14. No restriction to travel abroad.
