Via Biomarker R&D, we identify innovative targets of diagnostic and therapeutic interest in the domains of Neurology, Cardiology and Immuno-Oncology, with an access to cutting-edge multi-omics analytical technologies (Genomics, Proteomics and Metabolomics) to support research programs, preclinical and clinical. We are hiring a BIOSTATISTICIAN

MISSION

Via impactful research, contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge in healthcare! Leveraging MD background and experience in biostatistics, with rigorous statistical analysis and meaningful outcomes, enhance understanding of health-related data.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Design and develop programs for statistical analysis,

-          Verify the validity and robustness of results with other team members,

-          Discuss and interpret results from proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics and imaging data,

-          Participate in submissions (call for proposals, regulatory procedures, etc.)

-          Contribute to project deliverables such as protocols, statistical analysis plans, reports,

-          Presenting of results, according to agreed deadlines and within quality standards,

-          Develop statistical methods based on supervised clustering, Machine Learning or AI,

-          Supervise programming part of statistical analyses on the derived data sets (Python and R)

-          Support an IT infrastructure that should provide an easy and rapid access to proprietary and public data, information and knowledge related to the biomarker qualification process,

-          Optimize biomarker models taking in account the availability & performance of biomarker tests,

-          Conduct literature review of new methods developed for biostatistical analysis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

-          Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biology or Pharmacy

-          Master’s degree in data sciences, Statistics/Biostatistics or Epidemiology

-          Ideally 2 full years of intensive experience in statistical analysis (references will be asked)

-          Strong knowledge and implementation of statistical methodology (will be put in practice)

-          Proven programming experience in Python and R (other languages will be a plus)

-          Fluent scientific English, spoken & written (An oral presentation will be asked at interview)

-          Knowledge of Linux and Windows

-          Ability to communicate with multidisciplinary teams

-          Knowledge in the fields of neurodegenerative, and cardiovascular diseases will be a +

SUPERVISION: by the Head of Biostatistics, MD-PhD

WORKING HOURS: Full-time, weekdays(Saturdays might be needed only occasionally)

WORKING PLACE: University of Boğaziçi, Kandilli Technoparc, Üsküdar, İstanbul
(partial telework can be considered, after 6 months at Supervisor’s initiative)

REMUNERATION: Competitive Brut Salary depending on profile/seniority

(revised annually based on company financials, performance, relevant ratios)
