Expert/Lead/Sr. Functional Safety Engineer

Job Description

• Develop and maintain functional safety related analyses (HARA, FMEDA, FMEA, FTA etc.), safety concepts and other functional safety work products for projects
• Develop functional safety requirements for related features according to ISO 26262
• Discussing and clarifying safety work products with the customer
• Review and maintain necessary functional safety documentation
• Work with multiple teams to define the functional safety interfaces
• Support other internal teams regarding functional safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor´s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control/Computer Engineering or Mechatronics disciplines, Master's or PhD degree is an asset
• Strong interest in safety relevant functions in the area of automotive, aerospace, or railway technology
  
• Prior process knowledge regarding ISO 26262,  IEC 61508, EN 50126 or similar standards is desirable
• Basic skills in programming and experiences in embedded programming for test environments is of advantage
• Good written/verbal English communication
• Strong MS-Office experience
• Flexible for short trips abroad
• Analytical and organizational approach
• Team orientation and also independent way of working
• Interested in learning new skills and techniques
• Good communication and moderation skills

• German language
