R&D Specialist 

Entekno Materials – Eskişehir, TR

Entekno is looking to hire a R&D specialist for research and development of powder and powder-based material systems. The candidate must hold a BSc degree in chemical engineering. Preferably, he/she should also hold at least MSc degree or an industry experience in a related field at least 5 years.

Duties (not all inclusive)

• Actively read and follow literature. Implement new ideas to existing powder synthesis and powder coating technologies.
• Responsible for development of new powder technologies for various fields including but not limited to cosmetics, dielectrics and optoelectronics.
• Perform surface modifications to enhance the performance of existing powder technologies.
• Product development in laboratory, pilot and commercial scale settings. Develop up-scaling solutions using wet and dry approaches for surface functionalization of powders.
• Physicochemical, structural, optical and electrical characterization of developed powders/powder-based systems.
• Help drafting patents and scientific articles.
• Follow competitor’s powder-based products and help Quality Department to prepare technical documentation.
• Closely work with other members of R&D Department.

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

• Enthusiastic about technical reading and literature survey.
• Good written and verbal communication in English is a must.
• Excellent in writing and presenting technical documents. Proficiency in standard computer software.
• Experience in lab setting, inorganic powder synthesis procedures and knowledge in materials chemistry.
• Excellent analytical skills. Knowledge and/or experience in using characterization tools (FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, XRD, TG/DTA, Particle size measurements, etc.)
• Willing to gain knowledge and experience in sunscreen and personal care products.
• Good at problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Prioritizing daily/weekly tasks.
