Job Description: Senior Construction Planning Engineer

The Role: The senior project planner oversees all planning activities including scheduling, progress reporting, productivity analysis, delay notifications, and delay analysis. They lead planning and reporting teams, ensuring timely addressing of schedule issues across the project.

Key Responsibilities: 

·                Lead and coordinate the development of Project Baseline plans using Primavera P6.

·                Prepare project planning procedures and ensure timely collection of updated information.

·                Incorporate changes into the program and analyze their effects.

·                Review and analyze achievements and communicate project priorities to management.

·                Implement progress and productivity reporting systems.

·                Review subcontractors’ schedules and ensure compliance.

·                Monitor and control the progress of key activities throughout the project phases.

·                Maintain awareness of critical issues affecting progress and report them promptly.

·                Coordinate preparation of reports and attend meetings, presenting progress status and issues.

·                Review delay analysis and prepare extension of time (EOT) programs using Primavera P6.

·                Provide support for new bids and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key measures & targets: 

Coordination and planning of project tasks, tracing the site progress to be delivered on time within budget and delay-free

Personal Skills 

Essential Skills

The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria: 

·                Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

·                15+ years of relevant work experience.

·                Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.

·                Fluent English

Preferred Skills 

·                Knowledge of Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD preferred.

·                Hands-on experience in EOT claims preparation.

·                Experience in high-rise and low-rise building execution is necessary.

·                Able to travel and work in offices abroad

·                Speaking and writing in Arabic
