Job Description: Junior Construction Planning Engineer

The Role: The junior project planner will be responsible for providing essential input for all planning activities and deliverables, including scheduling, progress reporting, productivity analysis, and necessary delay notifications. They will assist the senior construction planner with the required Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using Primavera P6. This role offers overall experience in coordinating, developing, and updating the baseline plan across all project areas. 

Key Responsibilities: 

·                Provide input for Project Baseline plans, including critical path analysis, using Primavera P6.

·                Prepare project planning procedures, defining program requirements, and assessing progress methods.

·                Ensure timely collection of accurate information for incorporation into the program.

·                Incorporate changes into the program and analyze their effects.

·                Review and prepare narratives for reports.

·                Implement progress and productivity reporting systems.

·                Integrate subcontractors’ schedules within the baseline schedule.

·                Monitor and control the progress of key activities.

·                Update project schedules using Primavera P6.

·                Review and submit reports to clients as per project calendar.

·                Coordinate and prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and cost reports.

·                Monitor critical and longest paths in the schedule.

·                Forecast resources and costs and prepare reports.

·                Prepare management and dashboard reports.

·                Review delay analysis and assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) programs. 

Key measures & targets:

Coordination and planning of project tasks, tracing critical path and longest path tasks, producing necessary reports (KPIs, S-Curves, Dashboards etc.), provide input for the WBS in coordination with senior planning engineer in Primavera P6.

Personal Skills 

Essential Skills

The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria: 

·                Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

·                5+ years of relevant work experience.

·                Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.

·                Fluent English 

Preferred Skills

·                Knowledge of Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD preferred.

·                Experience in execution of high-rise and low-rise buildings (Including civil and structural steel works) is a plus

·                Able to travel and work in offices abroad

·                Speaking and writing in Arabic
