Research and Development Specialist

We are one of the leading edgebanding manufacturer in the world and one of the 18 plants of the wood based material manufacturer EGGER in Austria. We are looking for a team member who will be part of our team as R&D Specialist.

Qualifications

• A BSc/MSc degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry 
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in R&D, Industrial Chemicals 
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (Interviews will be conducted in English) 
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) 
• Curious, self-motivated with business mind-set and high energy 
• Problem solving competency, eager to learn 
• Strong communication skills and taking active role as a team member and/or team leader on the projects 
• Result oriented, excellent team player, eager to take initiative 
• Research oriented, strong analytical skills 
• Time management and organisational skills 
• No restriction of travelling abroad 
• Active driving license 
• Military service should be completed for male candidates 
• Living in Gebze, İzmit, İstanbul Anatolian Side (İdealtepe-Cevizli-Atalar-Kartal-Sahilyolu-Pendik-E5-Roma Plastik), (Acıbadem, E5, Roma Plastik)  

Job Description

• Searching for better technologies and systems for production units, quality control and different technical departments 
• Optimizing and improving the current states of the existing products and processes in different technical units 
• Conducting hands-on trials in the production units both individually and in teams with different competencies 
• Conducting researches both theoretically and practically 
• Formulating and developing new products based on the needs of the global market 
• Developing alternative raw materials and technologies 
• Collaborating with different technical experts in various industries 
• Bringing and adopting new technologies 
• Documenting and evaluating the data scientifically 
• Expanding the product portfolio of the company 
• Optimizing the cost and performance balance 
• Analyzing financial aspects of the projects conducted/participated in 
• Evaluating customer complaints, giving feedbacks and creating related solution/s 
• Giving technical and scientific support to different departments 
• Training related departments for changes, improvements, discoveries etc. 
• Making technical visits to customers for new product and technology launches
