Senior R&D Engineer

Primary Function:

Collobrate with global companies for EU Research and Innovation program and to run projects together with universities funded by Tubitak Teydeb (government organization) in order to achieve R&D Center activity effectiveness   

Essential Functions:

• Follows the technological advances and advise new polymers, smart and advance materials and processing technologies through learning and keeping current with new developments in materials , material processing, and material applications via on-line research and reading, industry periodicals, trade shows, seminars, conferences and constant contact with material and equipment suppliers.                    
• Meets with raw material suppliers to discuss/review new materials and technological developments.  
• Contributes to internal and external innovation discovery discussions on rubber compounding.
• Communicates with regional and global business and technical functions, the global Eaton R&D network and production to align and transfer developments 
• Leads Rubber&PVC Compounding based Continuous Improvement Projects 

Are you?

Required:

• Ph.D or Ph.D Candidate in Chemistry, Polymer or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D students will be supported by the company) 
• Min.5 yrs experience (Industry or University)
  
• Rubber/PVC compounding, Rubber/PVC/Thermoplastic Hose Processing ,Eaton Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Problem Solving methodology, DoE (Design of Experiment).
• Advance knowledge on operation of RPA (Rubber Process Analyzer) , TGA (Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer) , DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) testing equipment.
  
• Advanced level of English speaking, writing and reading. The second language is preferred.
• Willingness to learn, Functions well under pressure, Knowledge management, Perform effectively in a deadline environment, Process improvement, Technology trend awareness

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2020 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time
