Composite Research Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

•             Make mechanical designs of composite structures (using ANSYS, ABAQUS, COMSOL) according to the given the requirements

•             Work on mechanical/structural analysis, test and verification of composite structures

•             Prepare documentation on composite manufacturing and assembly

•             Optimize designs in terms of quality, cost, weight, function etc.

•             Evaluate and select optimal manufacturing methods, components and materials in an interdisciplinary environment

•             Prepare detailed system designs, BOM, 2D and 3D files for manufacturing

•             Scan patents, papers, textbooks, online sources for continuous research and learning

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

•             Bachelor’s degree or more from related fields (Mechanical Engineering or similar)

•             Capable of using CAD programs (SolidWorks, NX, Rhino, Catia)

•             Capable of making engineering and machine elements related calculations (i.e. dynamic, static, kinematic, life-cycle and so on.)

•             Capable of structural analyses (FEA), mastery in tools like ANSYS, ABAQUS, COMSOL and ability to write subroutines, parametric design

•             Experience on Matlab, Mathcad, Mathematica etc.

•             Eager for gaining expertise on composite materials and manufacturing processes, including graduate degrees on the subject

•             Excellent command of written and spoken English (IELTS 7+, TOEFL-IBT 95+)

•             Responsible, dynamic and responsive, team player, analytic thinking, good interpersonal skills

•             Knowledge on composite manufacturing processes (epoxy, fiber, molding, curing, RTM, SMC, BMC etc.) or prior experience on composites is a significant advantage.
