QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Core Responsibilities:

  • To assure full financial compliance and take leadership on all matters related to GRC,
  • Contribute to the company strategy and support with finance business partnering,
  • Plan, monitor and carry out quality assurance aspects of the activities of the finance-related departments,
  • Monitor the finalization of monthly closings on time,
  • Advise the CFO on potential and present risks which may have strategic and financial consequences,
  • Set up and introduce new procedures and corresponding concepts according to the current legal environment and/or according to the changes in the procedures,
  • Elaborate strategic tools for the support of the operative departments; Distribution, Buying and Marketing (e.g. financing models, sales-promotional tools, technological innovations etc.),
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, tax return statements,
  • Fulfil various and comprehensive regulation and financial leadership related functions in terms of the fiscal documents and systems as well as the common financial activities of the business,
  • Ensure adequate accounting policies and procedures are in place in order to provide information required by management for financial planning, decision-making and control. (i.e., feedback on the results of prior decisions),
  • Assume responsibility for completion of assigned tasks as well as for the accuracy and efficiency of his/her subordinates,
  • Induce a service and business-oriented attitude in his/her leadership as well as promote confidentiality and strict adherence to deadlines and Group policies.


Work Experience and Knowledge Base:     

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting from a reputable university. An MBA would be an additional asset. CPA (or equivalent certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) degree is a plus,
  • Significant years of finance leadership experience in a large multi-national organization with high ethical standards. Demonstrated success in carrying out costing and performance reviews,
  • Has reached manager or senior level at a big four firm,
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of financial practices and processes with emphasis on management accounting, variance/margin analysis, working capital and cash flow management, international reporting, financial planning, budgeting, and controlling,
  • Working experience with IFRS and/or international accounting principles,
  • Proven track record in people management/people development/building a team,
  • Advanced knowledge in Turkish taxation would be a benefit but no requirement.

  • A self-starting and self-disciplined professional who can work independently with minimal supervision,
