Logistic Executive

pladis, one of the largest and fast-growing groups of Turkey, Gum & Candy production company CCC (Continental Confectionery Company) is looking for a Logistic Executive for Export and Import operations. A brief job description of the position and preferred qualifications for the suitable candidates are defined below.

Job Description

*Provide relevant data and analysis to the operations team throughout the supply chain,

*Responsible for harmonizing and monitoring supply chain operations,

*Work with existing transportation suppliers on optimal delivery rate and routing,

*Ensure that internal teams recommend the most advantageous transportation modes, routing, equipment or frequency,

*Responsible for establishing specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems,

*Direct and follow-up with incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure prompt delivery to customers,

*Work with and monitor the efforts of partners in the supply chain to ensure smooth operations,

*Responsible for planning and tracking the shipment of final products according to customer requirements,

*Responsible for the preparation of appropriate and accurate logistics reports for upper management,

*Responsible for direct and partial shipment from 2 warehouses in Europe to the USA and European countries.

*Enjoy traveling primarily in Europe approx. 10 days a year.

*You will be heading the Shipping Department with two experienced Shipping Assistants and work in close corporation with Production Planning and your colleagues from many different countries,

*You will be in charge, that budgets are kept including logistic costs and in such a way, that the percentage of logistic costs as a net-sales ratio, are kept in balance.

*You will make sure, that the logistic costs kept competitive and the 1.000+ SKUs do not run into “red items”.

*You will have an “eye” on the Stock Turnover as well.

Qualifications:

*Minimum 7 years of knowledge working experience with Customs Operations and Foreign Trade.

*Extensive experience working with forwarding agents operating containers on trucks, trains, and at sea.

*IT skills and preferably SAP knowledge for Supply Chain activities.

*Language skills using English as the company language both oral and in writing.

*Relevant educational background within logistics e.g. Shipping man, Forwarding Agent, or similar and insight to Incoterms and other legal aspects in Logistics.

*Have strong negotiation skills,

*Leadership principles like dialogue-based, frame setting, respect for the single individual, international outlook, team-oriented and result-driven.

* A positive and open mind with a great sense of humor.

* Can actively use vehicles,

* Mastered in detail, have analysis ability,

* Completed military service for male candidates,

* Residence or willing to relocate to Çorlu/Tekirdağ area (ex. Çorlu, Lüleburgaz, Çerkezköy).
