Sourcing Manager

British American Tobacco is currently looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our procurement team fromSamsun, Turkey.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for strategic indirect sourcing activities of BAT TCNA area (Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia)
• Obtain the best possible advantage for BAT through the negotiation, implementation and management of supply arrangements in line with company process & requirement of internal stakeholders
• Negotiate, develop and manage the implementation of Service Level Agreements with contracted suppliers that will promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation
• Collaborate with other BAT Opco’s to support Regional & Global initiatives and ensure that BAT TCNA has cost advantages
• Continuously assess and recommend improvements to e-commerce technology and tools. Assist in the development and implementation of these.
• Manage the various risks related to commodities during contracting with suppliers of goods or services
• To perform visible leadership as a role model, for creating an environment among peers that promotes high motivation, discipline, team work and a balanced work life.
• Perform time-management to determine the priorities
• Ensure compliance to the control environment for audit findings, have procedures in place and have reporting systems in place with control mechanisms
• Working with QD to ensure they are aware of process issues within Production which effect quality
• To develop and implement: best practices, common platforms, sharing experience/knowledge with other functions and factories within Operations

Essential requirements:

• The jobholder is required to have a relevant university diploma with at least 3 years applicable experience in the procurement field
• Proficiency in English and Turkish
• Thorough knowledge of the supply chain process, supply market/environment, supplier capabilities and expected trends within Merchandising
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principals and processes
• Proficient in high level commercial negotiations and  high level of commercial awareness
• Proficient at developing procurement strategies and contributing to wider business strategies
• Understanding of legal issues and contractual principles to effectively formulate contracts and Service Level Agreements
• Proficient in communicating with multi-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of risk management
• Computer literate: Microsoft Excel: Advanced Level, Microsoft Word: Intermediate Level PowerPoint
