LOCATION


This position is based in our resort Amanruya. The resort is located on the northern coast of the Bodrum Peninsula in Mandalya Bay and is situated just north of Bodrum, the South Aegean’s most attractive seaside village. 


POSITION

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies and initiatives, as well as providing management and leadership to coordinate their own team and sales efforts. Further, this role includes the support for growing international sales efforts and the development and implementation of facility sales and marketing strategies. It is important that the Director of Sales and Marketing can work to grow and develop an external network of peers and a loyal customer base.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing Sales Reports and annual Sales & Marketing Plan
  • Creating an effective Sales Program that will increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel, its activities, culinary services, and personnel
  • Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors
  • Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • Assist General Manager in preparation of the marketing, advertising, sales plans, programs and annual budgets
  • Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
  • Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations
  • Supports sales by giving presentations, following up on sales leads and creating special accounts
  • Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community
  • Direct and manage all group, transient, and banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
  • Attend trade shows, associations and meetings to promote products and programs
  • Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
  • Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision making skills.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Very good computer skills preferably in Opera, proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession
  • Luxury hotel and 5 star hotel experience
  • Operation knowledge in an international chain hotel is an asset
  • Relevant experience preferably at managerial or alternatively director level
  • Good organizational skills
  • High level of integrity, enthusiasm, dedication, support for continuous improvement
  • Self starter, coach and mentor who can motivate the entire Team to perform their best
  • Strong media and presentation skills
