An Export Operation Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating the export operations of a company. They are responsible for ensuring that all export activities comply with regulations and overseeing the logistics of exporting goods to international markets.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
• Proven experience in export operations or logistics
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for export documentation and logistics management
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Incoterms and export compliance requirements
• Certification in Export Compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist) is a plus

Job Description

The Export Operation Specialist will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and managing all aspects of export and import operations, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance
• Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and export control laws
• Communicating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues
• Preparing and reviewing export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and bill of lading
• Managing letter of credit operations
• Managing export logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of export orders
• Monitoring and optimizing export processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Providing guidance and support to sales and customer service teams on export-related inquiries
• Staying updated on changes in export regulations and trade agreements
• Participating in internal and external audits related to export operations
