MAIN ROLE:

Product developer role will be to understand the fashion/style/fabric needs of brands, matching the brand DNA, formulating strategies, process and procedures to achieve business objectives, business growth oriented, keep abreast of market changes, offer new concepts and share relevant trend/fabric information to Brand and Management within geographic territory.

 Evaluation of supplier panel along with Merchandising team.

 The person will work cross-functionally with the other departments to complete end to end process sample developments, checking of sample developed before sending to brands, ensure on time dispatch of samples to brands, preparation of buyer meetings, fabric and trims proposal to brands.

DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES WITH KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Work with the SBO Director, Merchandising team, Brand teams & SBO office team to smoothen Brand business and imbibe the Brand values

·         Fabric research and development, new ideas to identify it from supplier showrooms by visiting them regularly, fairs, and local market as per the needs of brands and trends.

·         To establish a close, reactive communication channel with brands and suppliers.

·         Follow sampling development (Picking request)

·         To coordinate with the merchandising team and suppliers for the buyer’s trip preparations.

·         To participate in commercial samples development with merchandising team and suppliers to be production feasible and cost effective.

·         To attend France trends meetings and assist SBO teams and suppliers to understand the trends and help the suppliers to prepare the collections.

·         Regular meetings with brand buying teams to understand the needs and sharing the new collections, market information and with Merchandising team for trends development and selections. 

·         Evaluation of new suppliers and ensure supplier panel coherence as per brands needs and expectations (products offer, quality, price)

·         Provide good representation of the Company Policy, Codes of Practice and working process to external contacts on time and ensure that all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.

·         Positive working relationship with all suppliers and teams.

·         Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

·         Strong understanding of garments/accessories products.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

·         At least 6 years of experience

·         Diploma in related field preferred

·         Experience in dealing with European customer's preferably French market

·         Good in sourcing products

·         With MNC Buying Office experience preferred

·         Good communication skills and command of spoken and written English and Local Language.
