Logistics Manager

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team from Samsun, Turkey to plan, execute and control the storage and delivery of finished goods for domestic market, in order to guarantee product availability at distribution centres according to Stock Policy and /or customer agreed SLA’s, at the lowest total cost possible, while following Policies and Procedures to ensure Product Integrity and compliance to EH&S Best Practices.

Main responsibilities:

• Managing the Factory Logistics team and coordinate all returns logistics related to finished goods, as well as the required steps for the final disposal of those, while actively support initiatives that may enlarge the benefits perceived by increasing the Returns Logistics
• Develop and manage close working relationships with end markets, other stakeholders and handle the Union relationships
• Planning and control operations at the Finished Goods Warehouse, regarding product receipt form factory, storage and distribution in order to guarantee Product Integrity and Traceability Capability
• Implement and follow up procedures in order to comply with BAT EH&S standards along the whole logistics operating in order to provide our employees with a safe environment
• Compliance of the SOX requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• University degree in Engineering or similar fields
• At least 7 years of experience on related areas from which 3 should be on a managerial role
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of EHS standards and warehouse standards.
• Ability to understand & apply costing & budgetary principles
• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions
• Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle and manage the stock levels, delivery times and total cost
